Ramadhan Food Service

As part of our ongoing support projects during these difficult times, GCM will be reintroducing its Iftari Hot Meal service throughout Ramadan.

This will run on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and can be collected from our Main Community hall between the hours of 5pm and 7pm

Although the mosque will be open for prayers with limited numbers, there will not be a sit-in Iftari service as in previous years due to restrictions, though we hope the collection service will go some way in helping those in need during this blessed month of Ramadhan.

If you would like to contribute to this cause please donate to:

Asymptomatic Testing Centre

Glasgow Central Mosque is pleased to host an Asymptomatic Covid-19 Testing Centre, as part of a Scottish Government initiative, that will help the mosque play a key role in the community to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The purpose of the centre is to identify asymptomatic cases i.e. people who may be Covid-19 positive but do not have symptoms and are therefore spreading the virus unknowingly. Identifying these cases will enable us to break the chains of transmission of the virus and help protect our families, work colleagues and the wider community from infection.

The Testing Centre will commence on Monday 1st March 2021 from 11am to 7pm, and will then run from Tuesday to Saturday for a six week period. Lateral Flow Tests will be carried out and results should be known within an hour. You are requested to bring with you a smart phone, in order to be notified in a timely manner.

We encourage people living in the Glasgow area, who do not have Covid-19 symptoms, to come along for a free test.  No appointments are necessary.

To facilitate this service we also require a team of volunteers and would request those that are able to assist to complete the form below:
