Khatam E Nubuwwat

Glasgow Central Mosque in association with other Mosques within Glasgow and its surrounding areas proudly present this year’s Khatam E Nubuwwat conference. The evening will feature a selection of short speeches in both English and Urdu from various local scholars on the critical importance of Muhammad ﷺ as the seal of prophethood and the finality of Allah (swt)’s messengers.

An open invitation is extended to all and we encourage you to attend and enjoy this unique family event on Tuesday 1st January @ Glasgow Central Mosque from 4pm (after Maghrib) to 7.30pm (Isha).

This is a FREE EVENT for brothers and sisters.

There is a crèche facility and dinner will be served for all attending.

 

Getting Married

Glasgow Central Mosque will be delivering a short course for young adults and parents about life before marriage, choosing a partner and getting married.

This will take place on Saturday 5th January at 6pm in the Small Community Hall, In’sha’allah.

Themes include:

Winter Conference

Glasgow Central Mosque presents its annual winter conference on Tuesday 25th December 2018 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm with inspirational talks by our Scholars.

Guest Speakers include:
Sheikh Humza Khand (Dundee)
Sheikh Abu Bakr (Cumbernauld)
Sheikh Abdul Ghafoor (GCM)

The program will end at 7.30pm for the Isha Salah (for this day only), when hot food will be served for all In’sha’allah.

Winter Fun and Food

Glasgow Central Mosque presents its annual Winter Fun & Food event on 25th December for all the family with FREE entry.

The day long program commences at 12pm and will be fully segregated.

In the large community hall there will be activities for ladies and children which include a variety of stalls, soft play area with bouncy castles, assault courses and slides, children’s Islamic activities, bake sale, food and an outdoor barbecue (weather permitting).

In the small community hall, we have for boys and men, bungee run, penalty shootout and gladiator duel. There will also be a play zone, chill zone, food and again an outdoor barbecue. These activities will cease at 5pm where the program will move into the prayer hall, with lectures in English.

WhatsApp Service

Glasgow Central Mosque are pleased to commence a WhatsApp broadcast service to provide updates to the community including news, funeral announcements and events.

Essential Learning Classes

Glasgow Central Mosque will be delivering a series of short courses developed for Adults wishing to broaden and deepen their understanding of Islam.

The courses will take place every third Saturday at Glasgow Central Mosque and each course will last approximately 2-3 hours. Details of each individual course will be posted separately here. Individuals may select one or more courses or simply subscribe to the full block.

The structured courses will take the form of lectures and workshops and cover various aspects of life, relevant to adults of all ages.

Aqeedah Course

Glasgow Central Mosque will be hosting a short course in Aqeedah covering the core tenets of the Islamic Faith. This will take place on Saturday 6th October after the Maghrib Salah (6.46pm) in the Small Community Hall, In’sha’allah.

This FREE introductory course is designed for adults wishing to revise and deepen their understanding of the basics of Islam. It consists of one session in English and brothers & sisters are both welcome.

Learn CPR

“Whoever saves the life of a person it is as if he has saved the whole of humanity” Al Quran [5:32]

This Saturday, 29th September @ Glasgow Central Mosque, after Dhuhr @ 2pm, the British Islamic Medical Association will host its annual lifesavers event where doctors & healthcare professionals will be covering CPR, the Recovery Position and Choking. This will take place in the Main Community Hall.

The event is open to both males and females. (females taught separately by dedicated female doctors & healthcare professionals).

Your attendance could make the difference between a positive and tragic outcome in a medical emergency.

Glasgow Doors Open Day

Glasgow Central Mosque will be opening it’s doors on the 15th & 16th September from 11am to 5pm.

Step inside and see Scotland’s first purpose-built mosque featuring Islamic architecture, marvelous red sandstone, an arabesque courtyard, walled garden, iconic minaret and dome which fills the main prayer hall with natural light. Come and enjoy our exhibition and presentations.

Last year we had hundreds of visitors over the weekend, so do not miss this fantastic opportunity. Invite your family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.
