Hypertension Awareness
Glasgow Central Mosque is pleased to work in partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and University of Glasgow to raise awareness about Hypertension.
High blood pressure (Hypertension) is a common condition that affects a significant number of adults. If left untreated, it can lead to serious health problems. 1 in 3 adults require treatment for high blood pressure at some point in their lives.
This Friday 26th May, from 12pm to 4pm, there will be stands in both the men’s and women’s foyer areas within Glasgow Central Mosque.
We encourage all to attend and participate.

Local Zakat Distribution
During these difficult times, many families within our community locally are in need.
Those that were already on the poverty line have seen an increased level of suffering through the cost of living crisis.
Through our Poverty Relief Service where we continued to provide food packs and hot food throughout Ramadhan, we identified a number of Muslim families and households that are in need and eligible to receive Zakat.
We administered these payments personally by hand at the mosque, in accordance with Shar’i rulings.
May Allah (swt) grant everyone strength to get through these difficult times. Ameen.
Online Urdu Sisters Halaqah

Shawwal Timetable 2023
Alhamdulillah we are pleased to make available the 2023 Shawwal timetable.
Observing six days of fasting during Shawwal together with the Ramadan fasts, are equivalent to fasting all year round (Sahih Muslim).
May Allah (swt) grant us the strength and ability to keep these six additional fasts.
Partnerstwo pomiędzy Meczetem Centralnym w Glasgow a kasynami internetowymi stanowi przykład wyjątkowej synergii pomiędzy pozornie odmiennymi podmiotami.
Wspierając Meczet Centralny w Glasgow, kasyna online demonstrują swoje zaangażowanie w promowanie harmonii, zrozumienia i wzajemnego szacunku pomiędzy różnymi grupami społeczeństwa.

As with previous years, we expect the Masjid to be exceptionally busy.
Please note and act upon the following:
PARKING
Please arrive early, car share where possible and park conscientiously. Once the GCM carpark is full, please use surrounding carparks responsibly such as the Sheriff Court, Citizen’s Theatre or Co-op supermarket.
STEWARDS
Please respect the stewards. They are dedicated volunteers who have the important job of making sure everyone enters/parks/leaves safely. Your cooperation will ensure this happens smoothly.
CHILDREN
Parents are kindly requested to stay with and supervise their children. Due to expected high numbers, sisters with children under 9 will be requested to go to the small community hall where arrangements will be made for a more relaxed and comfortable environment. Any sisters not praying are also requested to go to the small community hall.
GENERAL CONDUCT
Maulana Saab mentioned in many reminders that “Akhlaq is the jewellery of the Believer”. In the house of Allah swt we need to be even more conscious of this, therefore please be patient, keep noise down and be more accommodating in the crowds.
FOOD CONSUMPTION
No food or drinks (other than water) is to be consumed in the prayer halls except for those on I’tikaf.
Jazak’Allah Khair
Iftar Donations
Don’t miss this opportunity for reward!
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever feeds the person who is breaking his fast, he will have his reward (for his fasting) without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person.” [Al-Tirmidhi]
Alhamdulillah almost 500 men and women break their fast at GCM every day.
All food is cooked on site by professional caterers, and distributed by a dedicated team of volunteers. May Allah swt reward them all abundantly for their efforts.
As we pass the midpoint for Ramadan, you can share in the reward too:
Donate towards Iftar today, by using the details below, or pop into the office to make a cash donation.
May Allah swt allow us to take full benefit from these remaining blessed days.
