After many years of service as Imam of Glasgow Central Mosque, Maulana Habib-ur-Rehman Rauf has decided to accept a new role at Edinburgh Central Mosque.

We extend our gratitude to Maulana for his service throughout his tenure and ask Allah swt to accept his efforts. We wish him well in the future.

Lessons from the Holy Qur’an

Glasgow Central Mosque will be delivering a short course on lessons from the Holy Qur’an; character traits of the Pious and the path to Jannah in the light of the Qur’an.

This will take place on Saturday 8th February after the Zuhr prayer at 1pm in the Small Community Hall, In’sha’allah.

I’tikaf

Glasgow Central Mosque will be providing the opportunity to enter the Masjid for I’tikaf this weekend, Saturday 25th january, after the Maghrib Salah at 4.42pm, In’sha’allah.

I’tikaf is “to confine oneself in a mosque for prayers, invocations and Ibadah, leaving the worldly activities for a limited number of days” and is a Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ.

You will benefit from the following reminders:

– Preparing for death
– The ethics of selling
– Surah Al Noor
– Miracle of the Prophet ﷺ

Student Life

Glasgow Central Mosque will be delivering a short course on Student Life; How to get the best of it.

This will take place on Saturday 18th January at 6pm in the Small Community Hall, In’sha’allah.

This course will explore various aspects of student life including time management, effective study techniques, mental and physical health and friendships and relationships. We learn how to balance the pressures of study with personal and family life helping to navigate successfully through college and university while maintaining personal integrity and spiritual values.

Khatm-e-Nubuwwat

Glasgow Central Mosque in association with other Mosques within Glasgow and surrounding areas proudly present this year’s Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference.

The evening will feature a selection of short speeches from various local scholars on the critical importance of Muhammad ﷺ as the seal of prophethood and the finality of messengers sent by Allah (swt).

The evening will end with Isha salah and followed by a hot meal.

An open invitation is extended to all brothers and sisters. We encourage you to attend and enjoy this unique event.

Why Follow Religion

Glasgow Central Mosque is pleased to host Sheikh Ibraheem Madani from Canada, a student of Shaykh al-Hadith Muhammad Zakariyya ibn Yahya Kandhelwi (rahimahullah), a graduate of Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya (Bury) and a senior lecturer & research scholar in Darul Uloom Canada.

Sheikh’s inspirational speech in English, on Why Follow Religion, will take place on Wednesday 25th December after the Isha Salah (6.30pm), In’sha’allah.

Iman & Atheism

Glasgow Central Mosque is pleased to host Dr Mufti Abdur Rahman Mangera, a graduate of Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya (Bury), a student of Darul Uloom Zakariyya (South Africa) and Mazahir Uloom Saharanpur (India) on Saturday 21st December, In’sha’Allah.

Mufti Saab’s inspirational speech in English, on Iman & Atheism: Discussing Belief in the Almighty, will take place after the Isha Salah (7pm) In’sha’allah.

Brothers & Sisters welcome.

Winter Fun & Food

Glasgow Central Mosque presents its annual Winter Fun & Food event on 25th December for all the family with FREE ENTRY.

The day long program commences at 12pm and will be fully segregated.

In the large community hall there will be activities for ladies and children which include a variety of stalls, soft play area with bouncy castles, assault courses and slides, children’s Islamic activities, Junior Bake Off, food and an outdoor barbecue.

In the small community hall, we have for boys and men, bungee run, penalty shootout and gladiator duel. There will also be a play zone, chill zone, food and again an outdoor barbecue. These activities will cease at 4.30pm where the program will move into the prayer hall, with lectures in English from prominent speakers.

All proceeds on the day will go to the new Education Complex development.

Marriage Workshop

Glasgow Central Mosque will be delivering a comprehensive marriage workshop for singles amd married couples delivered by Mufti Abdur Rahman Mangera, a graduate of Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya (Bury), a student of Darul Uloom Zakariyya (South Africa) and Mazahir Uloom Saharanpur (India), and the author of ‘Handbook of a Healthy Muslim Marriage’.

This will also see the launch of Glasgow Central Mosque’s new Taqwa Marriage Service.

This workshop will take place on Saturday 21st December after the Dhuhr Salah at 1pm till 4pm in the Small Community Hall, In’sha’allah.
